San Antonio weekend, January 09
Ed and I attended one of Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover Live Events in San Antonio in 2009, and made a "getaway weekend" of it. I like these pictures of us from the event. The background paper (isn't it pretty?) is from the digital kit "Free New Year" by Rhonna Farrer for 2peas.

calm. cool. collected. summer 2003.
Most of the supplies for this layout are from the "Sweet Serenity" kit by Shabby Princess, although the white swirls are from her "Happy Go Lucky" kit. One of my favorite pages lately, although that could be because of the subject matter. :)

life is in the window
Homeschooling at its finest - doing math while sitting in the window. I made this layout using "Shabby Blog Train," a free kit by Sweet Digi Scraps for the Gotta Pixel November 2009 blog train.
Dylan's teeth
Mom texted me this picture of Dylan today to show me his brand-new bottom teeth - his first two! He is such a cutie, and I loved the picture so much I wanted to scrap it right away. This layout uses supplies from "Shy Baby," a free kit by Heather T. created for the Gotta Pixel November birthday blog train.

Thanksgiving 2009
This is all from scratch, but the layout was inspired by a scrapbook page by Deanna at Scrappy Gram's Corner. Making my own pages from scratch is kind of hit-or-miss for me. I enjoy knowing that I did all of the work of creating them without using anyone else's artwork. But I miss the pretty coordinating supplies.
Edit: I suppose it's obvious, but it occurs to me that I should mention that the Monopoly guy is ©Hasbro, and not my own creation, and the cornucopia is free clip art that had no restrictions on its use. Oh, and the font is "Scrapbook" by 2peas.

having a ball
My own. In hindsight, maybe I should have put one more picture on the top left. At least with digital I can go back and do it anytime.

Sheer joy
I took these pictures of Tabby and Dylan cuddling because they looked so happy. Not sure about the layout I put them in, but it's a nice moment to look back on. Again, didn't use anyone else's materials here.

Ed and Mel
I have no actual title for this page because once I got the photos done I drew a complete blank on any words to go with them. Plain seems to be the name of the game for me today. Did this one from scratch.
kisses
It's a new year! I haven't scrapped for over a month - been too busy between our trip to Texas for the holidays and other stuff that's been going on. But I got some fun scrapbook-related gifts from Ed for Christmas, and I'm excited to start making some new pages. Here is one that I made today using the free "Twilight" set by Cora's Creations.
